What overgrowth actually costs you
Brush does not stay brush. Left alone, volunteer saplings become trees pushing against your fence and your foundation, and what would have been an afternoon with a saw turns into a licensed tree removal bill.
Overgrown lines also hide the things you need to see. Property stakes, drainage, fence damage, and standing water all disappear under scrub. Around Livingston County the same thickets are where poison ivy, buckthorn, and autumn olive establish, and those spread outward into the parts of the yard you do use.
Clearing it back once and then keeping it cleared is far cheaper than any of the alternatives.
