Lawn Mowing

Weekly lawn mowing in Brighton, MI.

Same crew, same day each week, sharp blades every time. Mowing, string trimming, edging, and a full blow-off on every visit — for a flat rate you know before we start.

Services offered

Precision Mowing

Deck set to the right height for your grass type, with the cut direction alternated to keep the turf standing upright.

String Trimming

Around trees, posts, fences, and foundations — everywhere the mower cannot reach, every visit.

Lawn Edging

Clean, defined edges along walks, drives, and beds. This is what makes a lawn look finished.

Hard Surface Blow-Off

Clippings cleared off drives, walks, and patios before we leave. Nothing tracks inside.

Cut height and blade sharpness do the work

Two things separate a lawn that looks good all season from one that goes thin and weedy by August, and neither of them is how often it gets cut.

The first is height. Michigan lawns are cool-season bluegrass and fescue blends, and they hold up best around three to three and a half inches. Taller turf shades the soil, which suppresses crabgrass germination and cuts water loss dramatically in July and August. Scalping a lawn short does the opposite on both counts.

The second is blade sharpness. A dull blade tears the grass instead of cutting it, and torn tips brown out within a day — that gray cast over a freshly cut lawn is almost always dull blades. We sharpen on a schedule rather than when someone notices.

Showing up is the actual service

Most people who call us are not calling because their last lawn guy cut badly. They are calling because he stopped showing up.

We run a fixed schedule: same crew, same day of the week, so you know when we are coming and can plan around it. If weather pushes us, you get a text — not silence. Quotes come back within 24 hours and pricing is flat-rate, so the invoice matches the number you agreed to.

Recurring mowing is a Brighton service. In Howell we offer landscaping, spring and fall cleanups, mulch installation, and shrub trimming, but we do not run a recurring mowing route there.

Frequently asked questions

Weekly or bi-weekly?
Weekly through the spring flush and again in fall. Bi-weekly works in the heat of mid-summer when growth slows. Cutting more than a third of the blade height at once stresses the grass, which is what bi-weekly service in May usually ends up doing.
What height do you cut at?
Most Michigan lawns are cool-season fescue and bluegrass blends that do best around three to three and a half inches. Taller turf shades out crabgrass and holds moisture better in August. We set the deck to your grass type, not a default.
Do you bag the clippings?
We mulch clippings back into the lawn by default — they return nitrogen to the soil and disappear within a day at the right cut height. We can bag on request or when growth has gotten heavy.
Do you mow in Howell?
No. Recurring lawn mowing is offered in Brighton, MI only. In Howell we handle landscaping, spring and fall cleanups, mulch installation, and shrub trimming.
